Wedding Decoration &
All the ‘must haves’ for a fantastic
wedding you’ll never forget
Here’s some ideas to help you start the wedding planning process
“I want my wedding to be perfect”, “I want it to be beautiful”, “I want all my guests to be amazed”. These are common phrases our clients say when we start planning the concept of the wedding. Usually followed by “where do we start?” and “do you have examples for us to see?”. We literally have tens of thousands of photos from our couples weddings. In order to make some sense of it all we file them under:
- Wedding ceremony decor
- Dinner table decor
- Marquee decor, flowers and lighting
- Fireworks & fire dances
- Wedding cake
You can always check out our Photography which showcases the best photography from our most recent weddings or you can go to the Videography page for great examples of highltight videos from weddings we planned in Bali and Yogyakarta, but we’ve collected some of our favourite images of decor, flowers, stationary, gifts and more below. Enjoy scrolling through the slideshows to get your creative juices flowing and see what can be achieved by our decorators and favoured wedding vendors.
Remember that the concept, style and theme of each wedding is ultimately dictated by our clients, so don’t think this is all we can do. Anything is possible, if you’ve got an idea, you can explain it to us either verbally or by using examples from ‘found’ images on the internet (thank you Pinterest boards), we’ll find a way to realise it!
All the photographs on this page are from real Luxury Weddings Indonesia weddings. The decor is not provided by the wedding venue. All elements including flowers & floral arrangements, chairs, tables & all furniture, tablescapes, stages, wedding altars, dance floors, lighting, marquee, chandeliers and everything else is supplied by and designed by our decorators.
The gift examples and stationery including hand drawn calligraphy is produced by independent suppliers located in Indonesia
Every Bride we’ve met wants beautiful decor for her wedding ceremony. We get requests for very elaborate designs but also some couples prefer a minimalist approach. Top of the list of must haves is always a stunning wedding altar, it could be a simple wicker arch, a more detailed floral arbor or a bohemian style iron pagoda. Here’s a few examples of our favourite wedding ceremonies.
After the ceremony and cocktails it’s time to sit down and enjoy each other’s company, eat, drink and be merry! The decor for dinner is just as important for setting the scene; from the basics of chairs, tables, plates, glasses, napkins and linen to the personal touches of tablescapes, table runners, glowing lanterns, candlesticks and candelabras.

Fireworks & Firedancers
Not every wedding venue in Bali allows fireworks and pyrotechnics but if they do then this is a great addition to the wedding itinerary. A Balinese fire dance performance makes for great entertainment for your guests to enjoy during dinner. Afterwards, the first dance as husband and wife under exploding colourful fireworks, well that’s a dance to remember.
Big or small, 5 tiered or a single tier, chocolate or fruity, naked or covered in colourful ornaments and flowers…everyone has their own idea what they want their wedding cake to be. It’s your wedding so let’s find the right one for you. Or no cake at all? Maybe a gelato stand, a fresh donut stall or a waffle station? Hmmmm….
Bouqets & Boutonniere
A traditional round posy, a pageant, a hand-tied, a nosegay, a biedermeier, a cascade, single stem or composite wedding bouquet? Local or imported flowers? Rustic or elegant? And which colours? Decisions, decisions. Ultimately it’s a combination that works with your wedding theme and our florists will ensure you get the bouquet that reflects the colours and flowers you love.
Perfume bottles, room diffusers, candles, welcome hampers, hangover kits, locally made lace fans, pyjamas, yummy Balinese snacks in fancy boxes or a handwoven beach bag with a personalised beach towel, sunglasses and sandals. Whatever you want we’ve got it covered.
